Adrienne shut the door to the orphange behind her, leaving behind the screaming kids and crazed social workers. She was so glad to be 17 soon, it meant she could move out, finally start living on her own... she smiled as she walked down the steps, and walked down the streets of London.
Another thing Adrienne couldnt wait for was school; it would mean getting back with her friends, and not having to share a room with a girl she couldnt stand. Adrienne ran her hand through her dark hair, pulling off her jumper, and tying it around her waist, as the hot August air hit her. She was wearing a white string top, jeans, and brown boots. She felt comfortable, and was glad it wasnt too hot.
When Adrienne got around the corner, she stepped into a coffee shop, and got in line with everyone else. She ordered what she always did (caramel macciato) and paid, before stepping back out onto the street.

A night out was something that Bellatrix did not want, but needed. She usually spent the early nights inside her room, coped up with books she had either found or stole, each of them dripping with Dark Magic. And she had been stuffed in her room so long that she decided to step out. Taking a quick shower, the brunette washed away her pale face and, when she stepped out, make-up zoomed to her face, using her wand to apply some simple blush, some eyeliner. The things that made her more desirable. Dropping her satin robe, Bella picked and poked through her wardrobe, deciding that her old casual dress[/url] and a black jacket would be something nice enough for night. And, with her matching purse and wand in hand, the princess exited her home, making her way towards the Muggle world. She, more than ever, found herself entering the Muggle world; if she entered the wizarding world more than needed, which, to her unfortunate, was often, her one of the many secrets would be spilled. But, for once, she wouldn’t have to worry for tonight as she made her way down the street. Figuring some coffee wouldn’t be bad, she started walking up the steps when a sudden body slammed against her, making her fall backward. Luckily, she did not fall, but she did lose her balance and she then found herself wobbling in her three-inch heels. Reaching her hand out, she grabbed hold of a lamp post and shot her head up, her brown hair flying as she stared at her attacker. But not a second too long she looked and she jumped to the ground, picking up her purse and all of its’ contents that fell out—her wand, her make up, her money. Getting back to her feet, using the lamp post as a supporting hold, she finally got a clear look at the stupid Muggle only to realize it was not a Muggle at all. “You,” she muttered, tucking her wild hair behind her pierced eyes. “Watch where you’re going, Thomas.”

Adrienne had just walked out of the coffee shop, when her vision was obscured by a lot of brown hair, and suddenly there was a girl practically swinging from a lamp post in front of her. She stumbled back slightly as she was knocked into, almost spilling her coffee, but managing to hold onto it. She had been about to apologise to who ever she had ran into, when a voice spat at her. "Me?" she replied, scowling slightly. "Watch your step, Black." she added, as Bellatrix held onto the lampost. "Your lucky I didnt spill my coffee all over you." her tone suggested that it wasnt good luck in her case. She bent down, and picked up her wand, twirling it between her fingers. "Carefull with that, we wouldnt want anyone to see now, would we?" she said, a slight smile on her face, as she held out the wand for Bellatrix to take.

Her mind was racing with insults, but, to this girl’s fortunate, Bellatrix’s mouth was way, way faster—“I’m sure these . . . these Muggles would be happy to see a show.” She held her hand to her mouth, feeling her pink-layered lips to make sure nothing was damaged. Turning back to the girl, she gave her hard glare. “But, watch your tone, Thomas—talking to me just might make you regret it.” She knew she shouldn’t have said these things; they were too revealing. But she just couldn’t keep her tongue silent.
“Lucky? Me, lucky?” She almost snorted. “You should be lucky I wasn’t going on a harming spree,” Bellatrix added, reaching into her purse again for her wand, pulling it out, but keeping it at her side. She made it clear to the girl that she had her wand; and she made it clear that she would perform magic if she wanted to, no matter how many muggles surrounded her.

"Big words for such a small person." Adrienne said, coolly. By small she didnt exactly mean vertically challenged; she meant petty. "Wearing green doesnt make you a tough girl, Black. You cant expect to win every battle because your a Slytherin. Or anything else, for that matter." Adriennes eyes were hard, and they looked straight into Bellatrix's. "A label cant give you powers you dont have. Try anything with me, and you will be very un-pleasently suprised."

She merely laughed loudly at the girl’s worthless attempts of insults. She finally calmed down, but still, chuckling here and there in her own words of anger: “You’re not seventeen, Miss Thomas. How do I know this? I keep tracks of everyone and I know who is above the Trace. Therefore, I wouldn’t be one to tango with me. If you, however, wish to get in deep trouble in the Ministry, darling, I advise you continue to insult me.” Bella still laughed at her—“On the contraire, being a Slytherin does give me a power, as well as the power to win every battle.”
Being a Death Eater gave that power too, but she did not dare mention her alliance. One thing the girl could not prove as a fact was that all Slytherins were evil. Take that mindless ex-Slytherin, Horace Slughorn. Just because he was Slytherin Head and taught potions and favored Lily Evans—a Muggleborn—all meant that he was no longer planning to put his foot on the evil side. Plus, he mingled with the Headmaster. But, Bella realized she was in front of a mindless Gryffindor who favored the Headmaster, about to pull out her wand. “So, what’s your choice, sweetie? I think I hear your Mummy calling for you.”

The jibe about her mother made Adriennes temper flare more then anything else, but she would be damned if she let Bellatrix know why. "I dont need a wand to fight you, sweetie." she said, in a dangerous voice; one filled with supressed rage. She knew that no one wanted that unleashed upon them. "But if you had the guts to find me somewhere where I could use my wand, you would see just what I can do." Adrienne was a powerfull witch, albiet, not a very controlled one. She hadnt mastered the spells that great wizards such as Dumbedore had, far from it. She had the power, she just had to harness it, so to speak. Never the less, it would be enough to do some damage to the girl in front of her. She moved closer, so only Bellatrix could hear her now, out of earshot of the muggles lurking nearby. "You find me at school, and Ill give you a battle."

Her lips curled at end. “Afraid to do magic now, honey? I mean, you go on and on about all this magic you would do on me, and now, with these flirty Muggles behind you, you withdraw the challenge? I think not. If you dare to walk in, I have my wand ready. Damn the Muggles watching; to hell, the whole lot! I’d rather have them witness the death than have no one believed that I killed you. I’d rather have people know I killed you!” Her mouth was raging with both excitement and anger. She wanted to do something to this girl and now that she had given her a full warning, she knew it was more than enough time to attack her.
Holding her wand forward, she felt like blasting her across the street, but, she knew if the Lord would have not been happy with her magic being shown. She could not kill Adrienne, but Bella knew she could at least harm her, making her sit in her room until school started, where she would fight her again. “And, honey, Muggles fight like animals, using their hands; real witches use their wands. Are you a Muggle or a witch? Or, if you are neither, are you a Squib? A hopeless, helpless Squib no longer able to use magic?” She used her hand to juggle the wand in her hand, making it prove that she was ready to cast any spell.

Adrienne had pulled out her wand before Bellatrix had finshed her sentence. Her wand flashed through the air in front of her, and the spell was half formed, before she remembered; she could be expelled for this. Reluctantly, she pulled her hand back, scowling, and making a small, growl like noise of frustration. "Dont get in over your head, Black." she said. "Because I will fight you, and you might be suprised to find out how much of a witch I am." she knew if they did fight, she wouldnt die. But she would make Bellatrix wish she was dead. Adriennes wand was still held tightly in her hand. "Give me an excuse, right now, Black." she said, ready to pull her wand up. "Attack me. Then it will be self defence. Comon.... do it." her eyes dared her, and she was itching to attack her... the rage she felt was still fresh inside her, and close to the surface. "Give me an excuse."

Damn her.
She found a leak-through, something to prevent Bella from harming the girl. She knew Dumbledore would come to the Gyffindor’s defense in the Ministry meeting. If Bella harmed the girl any way now, not only would she have the fact that she used magic in front of Muggles in front of her against her, but she knew that she would have the whole ‘Why did you attack her?’ question asked upon her. But, Bella did not show fear. She did not like fear and she would have to not show it to prove how powerful she was. Pulling her wand down slowly, she paused . . . and walked.
She forced her way past the girl, not bothering to say goodbye or telling her to step aside. And she continued to walk, her feet picking up speed, her shoes hitting across the floors as Bella’s anger began to shown. Just when she was about to Disapperate, from her shadow of the roof, she turned around fast, and shot her arm so fast, it felt like she was pulling her arm off—and, though her gritting teeth, she shouted, “EXPELLIARMUS!”

Adrienne looked at Bellatrix as she walked past her, clearly walking away from the fight she was itching to have. She gritted her teeth in anger and frustration, as she knew that if Black didnt start the fight, it couldnt happen. She resolved to meet her again at school, and fight her on fair ground; she wasnt like Bellatrix, she wasnt going to look for an advantage. She wanted more then anything to fight her on even ground, to prove she was better...
Then, all of a sudden, there was a cry of 'expelliarmus!', and Adriennes wand flew from her hand. "Fuck!" She said, loudly, as the startled muggles around her began to stare, their comments and questions growing louder. Adrienne picked up her wand, and turned, her wand held in front of her, looking to where the shout had come from. When she saw a shadow, she knew who it was. "Changed your mind, then?" she asked, walking towards her. "I thought you would have at least had the guts to take a shot at me to my face, and not behind my back," she was now close to her "But I wont make the mistake of giving you credit you dont deserve again."

“Expelliarmmus!” The girl screamed again, and this time, she watched the wand of the Gryffindor fly through the air, landing directly between the two. Her body urged forward, but she kept her feet glued to the area of safety under the shadow at the corner of her alley. Keeping her hand at an accurate level, her eyes were now fixed on Adrienne. Just one more step.

Adrienne walked forward, and picked up her wand, this time not wasting a moment in pointing her wand at the shadow that was Bellatrix, and shouting "Patrificus totalus!" She smiled to herself, as she knew that, if asked, she could say she only did it to stop the Slytherin, who had already disarmed her twice, from doing any more magic while surrounded by muggles.

She grinned as she saw the girl draw on—not only had she performed magic, she performed magic in front of Muggles. To Bella’s upside, she did not harm the girl; she only Disarmed her. Therefore, when the Ministry called upon the girl for a meeting, it would come out to her favor. But just as she pulled her wand back up, she felt her arm tingle before becoming rigid. Gasping, she stared at the Gryffindor. Putting the wand in her other hand, she felt her legs unable to move. Shocked, she used her non-wand hand and said, “Oppugno!” Watching flocks of birds fall out of her wand.
However, since she wasn’t using her normal hand, she hadn’t been able to hold her wand at an accurate level. She was about to use her wand once again, but a sudden pop made her stop—looking over her shoulder, she saw a dark face that made her spine shiver. A sudden hand grabbed her arm—thankfully, not her left arm, but her right arm. And then she saw people walk away from her, away from their shadows, and walking towards Adrienne. “Come with us,” the man near her said, and Bella did not feel like disobeying him. Usually, she would do so, but with her right arm rigid and the man holding her left arm, she was sure she could not flee in time. Then she saw the two wizards hold Adrienne’s arms.
And, with no other words, she disappeared from sight, spinning with the hard grip on her arm.
Suddenly, she was in an empty area. The man still held her arm. And she saw the two men and Adrienne in their harsh grip appear as soon as she opened her eyes. Bella still seized her wand in her hand, almost wanting to Disapperate. But she knew the man would keep on her side. He wasn’t going to let go anytime soon. “You two are herby under arrest for purposely performing magic in front of Muggles, as well as using magic before you turned seventeen.” Bella kept quiet; at least she didn’t have two laws against her.

Adrienne watched as a man grabbed Bellatrix's arm, and soon 2 more were at her side. They held her roughly, as though expecting her to escape, and though she scowled, she knew better. She didnt want to get herself into more trouble, she knew that she was already in deep enough.
Everything went dark as they dissaperated, and then they were in a empty room. There were no windows, and Adrienne was sure it was somewhere in the Ministry of Magic; they had whole departments dedicated to this sort of thing. She held on tightly to her wand, determined not to let go, but they hadnt tried to take it from her yet.
Adriennes eyes met with Bellatrix's, across the room from her. They were both in trouble, both in the same boat, pretty much; although Adrienne was underage, it was Bellatrix who had shot the first spell. The first 2 spells, actually.
