Her eyes began to adjust and she could see they were in the Ministry: it was her fear. She wasn’t ready to be a spy yet; she could keep uncover, keep herself from being known to the world, but she was not prepared to lie about her loyalties. But, then again, she was not here for her loyalties, but here for using magic. She did not use magic in front of Muggles; truthfully, she didn’t harm the other girl. She was hidden under a shadow; people were not looking, she made sure; and she could say how she thought the other girl was going to harm her. But a thug on her shoulder and her thoughts went away as fast as the man was dragging her out the door.
Bella then saw people rushing by her, and she risked a glance over her shoulder at her partner in crime . . . there were in the Ministry; going into a probation hall, or at least going to a courtroom. As she was forced to enter down the hall, she felt like hissing something, telling someone to stop staring at her, but she kept her tongue, in hopes of being allowed to leave. She did not injury the girl, Bella kept telling herself. She was using self defense and since she was seventeen, she was allowed to do so. But she was forced in a seat with a slam, watching the other two repeat the same procedure to Adrienne. “Stay,” the man who had her said, walking into the nearby door.
When the two disappeared, Bella laid back in her chair, gasping for breath. Had she been breathing that whole time? She nervously looked at her fellow criminal. “Thanks a lot.”

Adrienne glared at the man who shoved her into a chair so roughly. They should, at the very least, show some manners. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? She turned to Bellatrix as she spoke. Adrienne was calm; she had had run ins with the muggle law before, and knew the procedures couldnt be too different. "Hey, your the one that fired the first spell." she replied. "Dont blame this all on me. Besides, no muggles saw what happened to you; we were in the shadows. But about 20 of them saw my wand fly out of my hand, thanks to your spell." she scowled. She knew they would both try to turn it on the other, and it would only turn into a case of her word against Bellatrix's.
