Walking up the stairs was enough to make any wizard or witch sweat their dinner off. The many flights of stairs had always been a hassle for Katherine, especially when they would randomly switch around. She wished they'd at least give someone a warning, before switching in the middle of her climb to the fourth floor. After what seemed like ages of walking, climbing, waiting, and climbing again, she finally eached it. The doors to the Hogwart's Library.
Waltzing smoothly inside, she made sure that the door closed quielty behind her. Turning around to face the room, her eyes scanned the shelves briefly, before deciding on which one she wanted to look through. Walking over to it, she swung her hands neatly behind her, and clasped them loosely. Once walking to the middle of the aisle, Katherine pulled her reading glasses from the back pocket of her maroon skirt, and slipped them on her thin face. She tugged her white, long sleeved, button up shirt down a bit as her eyes scanned the shelf for anything that looked like a good read. This went on for three, or four, more shelves, before she was satisifed with one book. What was the book named, you may wonder? The Heart of Astrology: How to read the stars.
Taking a seat by one of the few windows in the library, Katherine propped the book up and opened the front cover neatly. Sliding her hand across the front page, she leaned her chin into the palm of her free hand, and started to read it. She had always been interested in Astrology, and even had her parents buy her a very scientific telescope, complete with a hands free view. She remembered spending hours outside with her father, watching the stars and finding different planets. Then, before she went to bed, she'd look them all up in her book about stars and galaxies. The memories would haunt her forever, but she didn't mind. It was the memories that kept her going.
Crossing her legs smoothly, Katherine tugged at her skirt a bit, as she turned the first page and started reading once more, returning her hands into her lap. She was only a page into the book, and was already hooked.
[[ewww, this post is horrible. forgive me :[ but i'm tired and out of ideas.]]
