Adrienne walked down the street of Hogsmead, the sun shining brightly down on her. It was a nice day, and the sky was a clear blue. Adrienne wondered how long it would stay that way, as Britain was hardly famous for its great weather, but she supposed as soon as September came it would change yet again.
Adrienne glanced into the shop windows through her sunglasses as she passed them; the post office, the three broom sticks... she smiled when her eyes landed on another shop. The windows were filled with all sorts of bright coloured objects, all doing something strange. There was a top hat with a rabbit jumping out of it, fake wands demonstrating themselves by turning into rubber toads and back, and best of all Dr Filibusters wet start, no heat fireworks, attatched to the window, and spinning around, sending sparks flying everywhere.
Adrienne was now going into her 7th year at Hogwarts, but she still got the same elight from seeing one of those babys go off in the great hall that she did in her 1st year. She smiled as she recalled a memorable time when an unsuspecting peeves had gotten in the way.
Walking into the shop, Adrienne knew just where to go. She headed straight for the courner with the fireworkds, and began to make her selection.

A blond girl with a dark cloak on her shoulders was walking happily around Hogsmeade Village. Today had been a nice day, according to Narcissa Black. She was one of the heiresses of the Black Treasure, Slytherin, Pureblood 'and Proud', in her 7th year of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Earlier she had been to the Three Broomsticks with Blaze, a young girl who had knocked her over on the streets of Hogsmeade. Strange enough they could get along quite well so they decided to get to know each other better over a nice butterbeer. They had chatted the whole afternoon about the birds and the bees without hesitation. And now, the young Slytherin was walking through the streets again. Thinking over her chat with Blaze. They had talked a lot, and now Cissa began to think about it, she found it very weird she hadn't seen the young girl in her previous years. Blaze had to be in Slytherin, she had to... But on the other hand, she didn't mention she was.. And well... She didn't seem to recognize Narcissa, who was, let's face it, on of the popular girls around school.. The blond haired girl shook her thoughts away as she walked into Zonko's, one of her least favorite shops. She had to find a present for her younger cousin, who wasn't attention Hogwarts yet. After skimming a few rows, she saw something that he could like and took it. Slowly, with her robes gently swooning around her long legs, she went to the check register. Cissa passed a few rows, and then smirked. There stood Adrienne Thomas. One of the Gryffindorks. A sly smiled crossed her lips as she tossed away the toy and went straight to Adrienne, her cousin had to wait.
"Well, Well", She said in her soft, silky voice. "What have we got her, not lost are you?" She sneered with her head held high. Truth to be told, Narcissa really didn't like Griffindors. And Adrianna, was one she really didn't like, she was a true Gryffindork... Too nice.

Adrienne turned as Narcissa Black came walking up to her. Until she spoke, she hadnt noticed her. Its not that she disliked all Slytherins, but most of them were just nasty pieces of work, and in allience with the Deatheaters. Now those, Adrienne really did hate. Deatheaters, in her opinion, were everything that was wrong with the world. "What are you doing without your band of giggeling girls, Narcissa." Adrienne said, coolly, putting down the fireworks in her hand. "I didnt think you went anywhere without them... you know, in case a first year got in your way and you needed someone behind you before you could torment them." Narcissa was known to always have a group of 'friends' following her, like most of the Slytherins, but, also, like most of the Slytherins, it was due to cowardice.

"What are you doing without your band of giggling girls, Narcissa. I didn't think you went anywhere without them... you know, in case a first year got in your way and you needed someone behind you before you could torment them."
Narcissa laughed coldly at the Gryffindor in front of her. Running her hand through her long blond hair, you could almost say it was her trademark... She looked at Adrienne Thomas, sneering, pitting her for being such a goody-two-shoes. Gryffindorks where all the same, trying to make their voice count but to silent to make it worth while.
"Unlike you, " the young Slytherin started, " I have friends who I can count on. If I don't need them, they won't bother me. If I want them to be with me, they will be. " A strand of her blond hair fell in front of her grey eyes. "I'm not afraid walking in dark alley ways, you on the other hand... should". A fierce glint was shimmering in her eyes. "It's not wise to wander around these days, certainly not for mudbloodlovers.", Narcissa sneered. Her expression was strange for a few seconds, it reminded of an animal, something of a wolf, ready to eat his dinner... But then the emotions that could be seen on her face vanished as sudden as they had appeared. Her face was ice cold again, waiting for the Gryffindor to do something very dumb in front of the Slytherin.

Adrienne glared at the girl in front of her. She didnt know her at all... Adrienne would be anything but afraid to walk anywhere, any time she wanted. She could take care of herself, and had done for years. Slytherins were all the same; ignorant snotty kids who had had mommy and daddy taking care of them all their lives. Already, Adrienne felt her hot temper start to rise. She looked at Narcissa, standing close enough for her to see the rage behind her eyes. "I dont need anyone to fight my battles for me," she said, in a low voice, trying to keep her anger at bay; she had already gotten in trouble with the ministry for underage magic, and she didnt need to do so again. "Why dont you step out into the real world, Black? Where your precious Slytherins, and your money cant protect you. Then you'll see who should be afraid of who," it was true that Adrienne, who had grown up with no parents, no money, and very little protection, had the upper hand on Narcissa. "The so called 'power' you, or any of your friends have, is nothing but hot air."

Narcissa glared back at the young Gryffindor in front of her. What did she know about the real world. What did she know about the so-called protection she should have had from her parents. She didn't have that. She had always stood in the shadow of her big sister, Bellatrix Black. Everything Narcissa had done, had already been done by her sister. Cissa had never known the real protection Adrienne was talking about.
Her eyes began to glimmer with rage. "Have you ever heard me, talking of power? That are your own words, my dear Adrienne," She hissed. " I didn't say you should be frightened of me, though it should be wise to do so. But, I was talking about other things, you should be afraid of. " Narcissa Black held her head high. As always she felt superior to this girl in front of her. She was so stupid, not seeing the signs. Mudbloods would be on the verge of extinction in a few years time, together with their mudbloodloving wizards or witches. She shook her head, some people were so dumb when it came to 'power'.
"Miss Adrienne, "Narcissa hissed again," I would advice you to keep a low profile. " She said silkily. "Or else, you might run into some bigger problems then which kind of firework you should buy." A cruel laugh was curling around her ruby lips.

Adrienne's hand twitched slightly, half way towards her wand, when she stopped herself. She didnt want to get in more trouble. "Im not afraid of anything, Black." she said, calmly. It was true, Adrienne wasnt afraid of Deatheaters; she wasnt stupid, she knew the dangers, and of course she would be afriad of the war ahead, but she was damned if that was going to stop her. "Unlike you, and your family." she knew that the dark wizards all sided with Voldemort, out of fear. They didnt want to be the ones against him. And the Blacks had a reputation as dark as their name. "And you dont know what a problem is." Adrienne had encounted much bigger problems then Narcissa before. She really just didnt care much for the girl.

"Im not afraid of anything, Black. Unlike you, and your family."[/]
Narcissa's fierce grey eyes were transfixed on the girl in front of her, shaking her head. This girl really didn't have a clue of what was going on in the world of wizardry. Everywhere around, muggles were being slayed. Everywhere, traitors were being killed. And soon, the whole world would have to admit that there was one great Lord. The One that could make the entire wizardry world united, The One who could make sure that the wizardry world didn't have to hide anymore. She said she wasn't afraid. But Narcissa didn't believe so. If there was anybody who should be afraid of Him, it was her, the young Gryffindor in front of her, who stood so 'proudly' defending what she believed what was right. But in fact, there is no right nor wrong. Whatever side you stand on, will always say the opposite of the other...
"And you don't know what a problem is."
"I do know", Narcissa said coolly. She had had a many problems before, with her parents, with Bellatrix, ... They both liked to bring her down, make her feel worse about herself. It felt like Bella couldn't do anything wrong, she was the perfect little Slytherin, on her way to greatness... "But that doesn't mean the entire world has to know what goes on in my head, Thomas. "She snarled.
