Appearance: Sirius has a get black hair which is usually shaggy and unkept. He rarely combs it, and when he does, it's only after he gets out of the shower, to push it out of his face. His face is fairly thin, with a strong chin and high cheekbones. His eyes almond shaped and playful, usually with a mischeivious look in them and are a brilliant grey color. He's only slightly tan, just enough to make it look like he gets some sun.
His body is muscular and lean, proving that he takes care of himself and keeps his body in excellent shape, though many people wonder how he does so when he eats like a pig. His arms and hands are muscular as well, though they don't bulge out. Sirius is quite tall, taller than even James and stands around 6'4" to 6'5". He has slightly long limbs that fit to his body well and he has an almost doggish like quality about his smile. Something that says fierce and dangerous but playful and loyal at the same time.

history:
Sirius' early life proved unhappy; by adolescence he had come to hate most of his relatives, in particular his mother and his cousin Bellatrix. He rejected his family's pure-blood elitism, reverence for the Dark Arts, and their insistence on respectable pure-blood marriages. Whether his stance was the cause or a symptom of his unhappy home life is unknown; nonetheless, by age 16, it was miserable [2]. Whereas all other members of the Black family were sorted into Slytherin house, Sirius was placed in Gryffindor, showing that his views had already diverged from those of the rest of the family before he came to school.
By contrast, he greatly enjoyed life at Hogwarts, where he was inseparable from his best friend, James. Although he later considered himself "an idiot" during this time, he, along with James, was immensely popular: teachers respected his intelligence, though not his behavior; students liked his biting humor (which to a certain extent he shared with James, and later, Harry), and he was considered handsome. Many teachers regarded him and James as troublemakers or practical jokers; Hagrid compared them to the Weasley twins, and McGonagall said, "I dont think we have ever had such a pair of troublemakers." GF Ch. 10
His popularity was not universal, however. Early on, a mutual hatred sprang up between James and Severus Snape. Sirius actively supported James, leading to Snape bestowing an equal and life-long loathing upon Sirius. Sirius hated Snape because he was "this little oddball who was up to his eyes in the Dark Arts" – James detested the Dark Arts and those who practised them. Sirius and James often went out of their way to bully Snape. While watching one of Snape’s memories in the pensieve, Harry sees Sirius and James attack him only because they were bored. Sirius attempted to justify this by insisting Snape had a mean streak and was not the innocent victim the memory depicted him as. Sirius also suggests that Snape envied James for his popularity and talent.
Sirius and James also became friends with another student, Remus Lupin, whom they later discovered was a werewolf. To support Lupin, Sirius, James, and another friend, Peter Pettigrew, secretly (and illegally) became Animagi, which allowed them to safely accompany Remus during his transformations and keep him under control. The four friends roamed Hogwarts' grounds during the full moon. After mastering animagery, Sirius' form took the shape of a huge black dog, from which his nickname “Padfoot” was derived.
Late in his Hogwarts career, the feud between Snape and Sirius reached its climax when Sirius told Snape how to enter the tunnel leading to the Shrieking Shack where, unbeknownst to Snape, Lupin was confined during his transformations. Sirius sent him there during a full moon, expecting that Snape would meet the transformed werewolf – a potentially deadly trick that could have killed Snape. James was forced to rescue him. Sirius excused his own actions, explaining that he had simply told Snape what he wanted to know (about the tunnel) whilst omitting crucial information (that it led to a deadly werewolf); he also claimed it "served Snape right".
At age 16, Sirius finally broke with his family and took refuge with James and his parents. His offended and outraged mother burned his name off the family tree. Sirius’ Uncle Alphard, Walburga's brother, sympathised with his young nephew, however, and left him a large inheritance, causing Walburga to also remove Alphard's name. Sirius was left financially independent by his Uncle’s generous bequest.

James whispered to his hand, grasped around a small, round object. The object was a brilliant gold color, like a shinned galleon, and around the size of a golf ball. The small creature had intricate designs carved over it's body and small wings spread back, struggling to escape the hand that grasped it so firmly.
"Shh there...I'm not going to hurt you."
Yes, James was talking to a snitch, the miniature ball that was put in play for the seekers of the quidditch teams. Everyone was familiar with the rules of once it was caught, the game was over and the winning team was awarded 150 points. Of course, it was rather odd that James had the ball when he very clearly played chaser for the Gryffindor team. It was more or less the fact that he rather enjoyed playing with the little ball. Not so much the fact that he wanted to play seeker.
It was also rather odd of him to be talking to an inanimate object, but this creature was bewitched by the creators of the game - bless them, whoever their souls may be. It seemed that the little thing could understand James for when he spoke to it, the wings quivered then stilled and he was able to study the ball in piece, without having to worry about it flying away from him. That would be a problem since he hadn't his broom with him in the forest and he'd need to return it before the next quidditch game.
A piercing scream broke James' concentration and he looked up, jerking his eyes to attention. Lily. He'd know her scream anywhere since he seemed to cause it so often. His glasses slid down his nose a bit and he shoved the ball deep into his jeans pocket before pushing his glasses back up and sliding out of the tree he'd been sitting in moments before.
James took off in the direction of Lily's call and he broke out into a run, his strong legs carrying him toward the edge of the forest. It struck him that he couldn't get there quickly enough and without a second thought he bent forward and touched the ground with his hands, his running never ending.
With each shadow that passed over his body, it began to change. His pupils had darkened and widened until his eyes were large and black as the night. His hair seemed to mold to his face, which had sharpened, his nose folding back and turning black. He grew taller, his back straightening. No longer did his hands and feet touch the ground, causing the leaves to make crunching sounds with each thud, but now his arms and legs had become skinner, stronger, and his fingers and shoes no longer existed. In their place were four hooves. In place of the crunching leaves, there was now a loud galloping to be heard. James' chest puffed out and tightened, and the rest of his body straightened. His head remained low.
Upon bursting out of the trees into a clearing, the young man raised his head to reveal he was no longer a young man.
In his place stood a tall and proud stag, it's great antlers shadowing the ground. It reared it's great body, it's front legs swiping at the air in front of it. They touched down again and with a grunt the stag charged forward, determined to save Lily.
